Everyone Has a Job to Do
We believe that ministry is not just for the church staff, but that all believers have an important role to play in the church. God has good works in mind that each person is uniquely gifted to accomplish. We want to help people find their place to serve and lead in God’s Kingdom.
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.
Generous Giving
Every gift that we have comes from God. We want to be good managers of what God has entrusted us with. This means sharing with those in need and generously giving to the work of God’s Kingdom.
“You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.”
Practicing Faith
Becoming more like Jesus takes practice. We want to be a church that doesn’t just learn about who Christ is, but actively follows Him. We will be obedient to the steps that God’s Word and the Holy Spirit are asking us to take.
“And he said to all, 'If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.’”
Bible Engagement
One of the main ways that God communicates with us is through His Word. We unleash the transformative power of the Bible by allowing it to become deeply rooted within us. In order to accomplish this, we will diligently read, study, meditate, memorize, and learn from the Bible.
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
Faithful Prayer
We believe in constantly depending on God at all times in prayer. Talking to God is a first response, not a last resort. We trust Him to lead us through life as He provides for us along the way.
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
We Are Family
Christ created the church to be a family of believers. We want to intentionally build community with one another on Sundays and throughout the rest of the week. We will show grace and reconcile when we have conflict. We believe that we are better together.
“For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”
Making Jesus Known in the Neighborhood
We want to help people come to know Jesus and what He has done for them. This takes being active and present in the neighborhood that God has placed us. We will know the Gospel message in our lives and share it with people as God gives opportunity.
“For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”
Passionate Worship
We show excitement and enthusiasm for so many things in our lives. Yet, we believe our God is the most worthy of our passion because of who He is and what He has done. This passion should come out in our authentic worship of Him.
“But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.”
